Workshop

During our stay in Hong Kong, we continued our photographic project questioning living spaces of Hong Kong people. We interviewed local people on their ways of living in the various neighbourhoods of Hong Kong and the people were photographed in their own environment under the "It's better here" theme. For this, we worked with 10 students and Raymond Yau from Design Foundation Studies. Local issues specific to Hong Kong were highlighted and questioned. This workshop was organised thanks to Hong Kong Design Institute from 2 to 6 December 2013. At the end of the workshop, everybody was so enthusiastic with the results than a publication is planned for February 2014.

Marathon Conference

Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design (AoD) and Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) join hands to organise their annual event, Detour Matters 2013, which took place from 29 November to 8 December 2013 in Hong Kong. They invited us for a presentation of the "It's better here" project. The lecture took place during the Detour Marathon (held on Saturday 30 Nov 2013) at The Hennessy building. Detour was established in 2004 and aims to showcase Hong Kong as a creative hub by featuring inspiring designs from creative talents in the city and beyond. it is held in conjunction with HKDC's "Business of Design Week" which brings designers from across the globe to Hong Kong for a week of creative collaboration.
